WATER IS TO MOISTURE, AS OIL IS TO SEAL!
I’ve recently been asked about healthy hair care and what’s best to use to keep our hair moisturised. I realised that my regime, which has been refined over the years and has worked wonders for me, can be a little much to take in when you first hear it. For those of us who have a job to do, a home to maintain, little ones to take care of (or off-spring of any age for that matter), elders to look out for, other voluntary responsibilities - and the list goes on – a long drawn out hair care regime is the last thing you want to add to your list.
I understand…totally!!
So let bring it back down to basics. Whether you decided to co-wash like me, or not; whether you sware by you pre-poo or like me, you don’t quite see the point; or whether you insist that your last rinse must be with cold demineralised water to bring out the sheen; the bare skeletons of healthy hair is simply this:
As your hair grows from your scalp, your scalp must be clean to encourage growth.
Wash your hair every 10 days – minimum!
The best moisturiser for any living mammal is water. Both inside and out!
As water is the best moisturiser for your hair – spritz regularly!
Water will evaporate, so oils are needed to trap the water benefits into your hair shaft.
Oils don’t moisturise your hair, they seal the moisture in – seal with oil!
So that’s it.
If you’re too busy to do any more, add these little steps to your routine and reap the benefits.
However, if you’re like me and need to know that little bit more….stay tuned!
